The combined efforts of all students of MIB and MHROD, well channelised and directed by their respective Alumni Committees culminated in the confluence of a large number of alumni; some turning up with their children and spouses; while some others flying down all the way from Mumbai, Chennai and Dehradun, especially for the occasion. Sixty-seven alumni of MHROD and fifty seven of MIB attended the Alumni Meet [click here to view list]. This was the largest number ever. Also present at the Dinner were faculty members from the entire University of Delhi, and other B-schools, who adorned the evening with their graceful presence.

A rendition of cultural events, that included a play "MUNNA BHAI - MBA" by MHROD along with a comedy play by students of MIB, and a theme-based medley drew warm applause from the invitees and guests. JIGYASA, the annual journal of MHROD was released by Dr.A.K.Seth, the coordinator of the two programmes.

The major event of the day was the inauguration of the alumni website by Dr. Sri Ram Khanna and Mr. Rajesh Dudeja. This website has been built to bring the alumni of MIB and MHROD together and increase the level of interaction amongst each other as well as the current batches of MIB and MHROD.

Also announced during the event was the formation of an ALUMNI FOUNDATION, for which one alumnus each from PGDIM, MHROD and MIB volunteered as trustees with approval by a voice vote from all Alumni present. The reps chosen to represent PGDIM is Mr. Rajesh Dudeja, MHROD - Mr. Avinash Kohli, and MIB - Ms. Anuja Mathur.

Prof Sri Ram Khanna will be the Founding Donor of the foundation with a personal donation of Rs. 10,001.00. A number of Alumni and faculty members also followed with announcements to contribute to the Trust Fund of the Foundation. The promised donations made on the stage during the evening are valued at Rs. 1,45,000.00.

The three new permanent Faculty members to join the department were also introduced to those present. They include Ms. Vanita ( Asstt. Coordinator, MHROD), Ms. Abha Shukla (Asstt. Coordinator, MIB) and Ms. Niti Suri ( Asstt. Coordinator, M.Com).

The evening climaxed with a grand dinner constituting of various delicacies and beverages( not to forget the three drinks per Alumni cocktail from the Army style bar ). The interaction between present batches and the alumni culminated into exchange of ideas and suggestions for the advancement of the course and to carry the legacy forward.

As the evening drew to a close, everybody parted with a heavy heart; but promised to meet again in the years to come.
